Apparently the nurses that did the initial exam weren't convinced she was raped.  The initial hearing is always a bit unfair.  The prosecution presents its evidence, but the defense cannot.  So for a few months the prosecution's side is the only one that is heard.  Which is really why I failed to understand why the defense team requested this hearing.  Remember...they asked for it.

Did you hear the questions Bryants attorney asked yesterday? Something to do if the bruising and such in her genital area was consistent with having sex with 3 different people in 3 days?

The nurses that examined Bryant's accuser said that the marks on her did not corroborate her story of assault but were consistent with consensual sex.  I bet the prosecution would have liked for them not to include that in their reports.
