When I was in college I road 25 miles two or
three times a week. My buddy and I rode up and down the county roads
near the Alabama state line. We road almost into Dothan once before
turning around. That was some scary stuff sometimes because it was out in
the middle of nowhere and speed limits didn't mean much. Those semis would
blow by doing 80 and we'd draft off of them.

wrecked on my bike once b/c I was riding in the middle of the road and a car
came along and I moved a little too fast. Wound up with gravels in my hands
which hurt like crazy. I got into some serious trouble for that one, for being
in the middle of the road and tearing up my bike when I crashed it, LOL. Brand
new bike and I basically "totaled" it. I just ride my bike offroad now away from
roads.....get back on mountain trails, of course the wrecks hurt more
now.....maybe b/c I'm older and my body doesn't like to take as much abuse as it
used to.

But what does that teach a child....how do they learn lessons about life. If they don't learn these lessons when they are young, then they grow up not always knowing the right thing to do and they are the same ones that grow up and sue e'one over something that just takes a little common sense. Ok, I get the point, you don't think they should be punished for an accident. I don't agree with that. I've seen kids that don't get punished for anything like that.....they are also the kids I don't like b/c in my own personal experience, those are the kids that as they get older, think they can get away with anything if they didn't do it on purpose.
