yeup! i had pet mice about 7 years ago :-) very cute and loving till one day when i fed them bacon... they got a taste for meat and started eating each other :-( very sad!

I agree with Lowell. Mice and rats make excellent pets. They are extremely smart, trainable and very clean animals.

I just couldn't have any rodents in my house. I hated having the hamster years ago. Although I did have an iguana (I know, not a rodent) for 3 years, I loved him to death, even when he would get out of his cage and roam around the house. He was over 3ft when he died.

Well, again, not to everyone, Charles.  :-)  Seriously, they're good pets with a little work.  I'd put both mice and rats ahead of guinea pigs, hamsters, or even rabbits.  They're definitely more affectionate than any reptile, and their odor is IMO less of a problem than that of rabbits or any of the mustelids.
