Oh you know you love being a smartass, LOL (just a play on your name in truthpost for a while) and I realize what you are saying. Just around here they still offer them on a regular basis, especially if you don't want to bf at all. My aunt had a baby a year ago and didn't want to bf and they told her to take the shot. Maybe it just depends on different doctors.

Not very often anymore. Do some research on it (not being a smartass) but in the past 3-5 years it's almost unheard of to get shots or pills. Unless....there is some serious complication/reason to do it.
natural drying up is what they recommend. hell even when I had my oldest 12 years ago, they didn't offer anything.

They do still give shots that dries it up though.

They don't give out those pills anymore at most hospitals. It is safer to let it dry on it's own supposedly now.

We choose to bottle feed Nicole, so they gave my ex something to dry up the milk ahead of time....

I had no choice but to use formula. My milk dried up after 2 weeks.

I watched my mother try to breast feed my brother, from the pumps to the wet shirts when it leaked to you name it...when we bottle fed Nicole and had none of that to deal with it was just as easy thanks. lol :)

My mother also wound up bottle feeding, because of the hassle. lol Not to mention it can be inconvienant at times if your out in public, no problem with formula. :)

Yep, my stores just switched it around that way last year. Formula is expensive and more hassle. I FF'd my oldest 3 kids. I nursed my youngest for 18 months. Boy do I wish I had smartened up 3 kids before her. Breastfeeding was so easy and convenient and I loved it.

But expensive!! It is very high cost...I know in some
stores they have it upfront like the cigarettes so
that it doesn't get shoplifted.

=====
I wanted a perfect ending... Now, I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment, and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity.
