Because it isn't a Christian symbol of course.....man. I hope that guy runs for office, he sure got the raw end of the deal. But you have to admire him for standing by his convictions and also the way the country and Christian community rallied around him.
 
I heard parts of what Dr. Dobson said at his speech in Alabama no the radio while working....it was totally awesome!

He said that when he went to trial yesterday there was a statue of a Greek goddess in front of the federal courthouse.  He wants to know why the ten commandments was an unconstitutional display of religion and the display of a pagan goddess is not.

He said that they asked him in the closed session three different times if he would be willing to refuse to acknowledge God if returned to the bench. 
 
It sounds to me like they expect a judge to renounce his faith to serve...
