Well, I have a good number of his books, I
certainly wont not read them because he doesnt like the president. :-0) Just
saying that some people feel stronger about it.

I said
I didn't agree with how the chicks went about what they did. They were wrong,
but I did like their music before and I won't turn off the radio of it comes on
and I will still listen to the cd's that I have. I see no point in throwing them
away. King's was more of a statement against Bush, which I saw as being no
different than someone speaking badly of Clinton. He just doesn't like Bush,
which is his right.
As far as the Chics go, anti-American in a
different country is crap. I cant speak about King, have no idea what he
said.
I just don't see the point in even having a "banned
list". I mean yeah completely disagree with their opinions and views, but
isn't that part of what is so great about America is being able to have those
different views. I don't agree with half of what any of the starts said, but
if I started adding them to a list of stars I would never watch/read/listen to
again, I'd have no form of entertainment. Even though I didn't agree at all
with what the Dixie Chicks said or how
they went about it, I still listen to them. I'm not going to quit buying a cd
if it sounds good. Same goes for Steven King, if the book is good, I
won't stop buying his books. And on the upside while I'm still working at the
bookstore, I'm able to "check out" books like at a library so I can
bring it home and read it and if I like it, I can buy it, if I don't
, I'll take it back. And for the record, King's newest book, Wolves of
the Calla is like #2 or 3 on the Best Sellers list right
now.

[TheSandbox] Stephen King Defends Popular
Oh it was this
year..an anti war statement. I was quite distraught over having to add him
to my banned list.

I have read everything by King. he is a
favorite. Though, I haven't bought a book since he made his derogatory
remarks to president Bush. When did he do
that, and what did he say?
