I worked at a store in La and a gay guy was running the shift when I went in and got a application. I came *this* close to not even taking the application back in. lol I did, and you would know I got the job. ROFL
 
Turns out the gay guy was a really nice guy, but here's the funny part. I was working a shift one night with two other folks, the gay guy wasn't there. A few comments were made back and forth, in jest. Wasn't till sometime later I found out that one of the two present was ALSO gay and the other gay guys nephew. Talk about opening my mouth and inserting both feet. ROFL

I would suppose it to be a good thing that him being gay turned you off....leaving aside the whole being married difficulty, if a gay guy turned you on that would be extremely frustrating I would think.
 
I'm sure he is nice.  I had a friend in high school that was queer as a three dollar bill.  He was a nice guy.
