LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Forget the creek, Joshua Jackson has his sights
on the Northern Lights.

The "Dawson's Creek" actor will star in "Aurora Borealis" as a troubled
young man who must come to terms with the premature death of his father.

Jackson, 25, joins Donald Sutherland and Louise Fletcher, who play the his
character's grandparents. Juliette Lewis will portray his love interest and
the assistant to Sutherland's character.

Based on a script by Brent Boyd, the project will be directed by James Burke
and filmed in Toronto.

Entitled Entertainment will produce in association with Rick Bieber Prods.

Jackson is best known for the wisecracking Pacey Witter in the WB's
"Dawson's Creek," which began airing in 1998 and ran for five seasons. He
recently wrapped shooting "Americano" with Dennis Hopper and Leonor Varela
in Spain.
