well the catsup is a very thin layer. You put it on before baking. When it's finished, it's not like you really even taste it on the meatloaf. But it does keep it moist.

If so..then try covering your meatloaf with a thin layer of catsup. It seals in the meats natural juices. Your meatloaf will come out juicy, not dry. No gravy needed.
