I would choose the spear. Since polar bears are well equipped for cold temps, a stun gun would probably have little chance of having affecting the bear through its thick fur coat. Plus you would actually have to touch the bear and by that time you would already be dinner
On the other hand since most of the time, although not always, a polar bear rears up on its hind legs when it attacks one should be able to plant the spear in the gound and it would impale itself on the spear. The worse you would have to do it figure out how to get out from underneath a 1200 lb dead bear. If the bear came at you full charge you could still plant the spear in the ground pointing at the bear and hopefully at least disable it long enough to get away. -- Bill http://www.vlca.net On Saturday 13 December 2003 07:08, Charles wrote: > While fighting off a crazed polar bear, would you rather be armed with > 1) a stun gun > OR > 2) a spear? > > Charles Mims > http://www.the-sandbox.org <http://www.the-sandbox.org/> _______________________________________________ Sndbox mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://a8.mewebdns-a8.com/mailman/listinfo/sndbox_sandboxmail.net
