LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Oh say, can you see Beyonce Knowles? On Sunday, Feb. 1, the actress-singer will be seen belting "The Star Spangled Banner" in front of hundreds of millions of viewers at Super Bowl XXXVIII from Reliant Stadium in Houston.

The honor puts the sometime Destiny's Child diva in position to continue her hot streak from 2003. Last year, Knowles released her first solo album, "Dangerously in Love," which has gone platinum five times over worldwide.

With "Crazy in Love," the singer had one of the biggest hits of the summer and between her album and various extracurricular collaborations, she received six Grammy nominations. Knowles also took home multiple MTV Music Video Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and co-starred with Cuba Gooding Jr. in the feature film "The Fighting Temptations," which was a moderate hit in the fall.

Knowles joins a long all-star list of singers who have taken center stage at what is annually one of television's biggest events. Last year, the Dixie Chicks brought extra twang to the anthem, which has also been performed by the likes of Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Kathie Lee Gifford, Jewel and Whitney Houston.

This year, the anthem will be signed by Suzanna Christy of Singing Hands from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown.

The football game and accompanying commercials and performances will air on CBS.
