LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Networks should avoid finality in the titles of their reality shows. Just as UPN's "America's Next Top Model," very quickly gave way to the search for yet another next top model, NBC's comedy showcase "Last Comic Standing" is looking for yet another comic to be the last one standing.

Hosted and executive produced by comedian Jay Mohr, "Last Comic Standing" averaged 8.3 million viewers per week during its summer run. Dat Phan, the show's winner, has become a comedy club headliner.

The search for finalists for the second installment of the NBC reality hit will begin on January 13.

Talent scouts Bob Read and Ross Mark, talent consultants and bookers on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," will return for the second season of "Last Comic Standing" to help narrow down the talent discovered at regional auditions.

Beginning January 13 in Los Angeles, California and concluding January 31 in Tampa, Florida, the talent search will include eight cities, also touching down in New York, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, San Francisco and Nashville.

Once again, the ten finalists will live in a house together, performing regularly until the ultimate winner receives a talent contract with NBC.
