(CNN) -- A 19th shooting in the Columbus, Ohio, area has been linked to a series of shootings that have left one person dead, authorities said Wednesday.

A bullet hit a car on the southern portion of Interstate 270 early Sunday that left fragments in the hood and cracked the windshield, according to a statement from the Franklin County Sheriff's Department.

The driver was not injured, and officials appealed for anyone who may have seen something suspicious to contact authorities.

To date, 19 shootings have been linked -- at least seven of them through ballistics evidence. The others are considered part of the series because of their similarities and location.

The sole casualty in the shootings, which began in May, was Gail Knisley, 62. She died after being struck November 25 as she rode in a car on I-270.

The sheriff's statement said more than 3,430 leads have been called in to a tip line set up in the investigation.

A $60,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in Knisley's murder.
