British actress Kate Beckinsale was rushed to
hospital last night after falling ill on route to the Sundance Film Festival in
Utah. The Serendipity
beauty received treatment at Los Angeles hospital Cedars- Sinai Medical Center
after collapsing in pain at her home and doctors were forced to remove her
appendix. Kate's spokesperson says, "Kate was all set to come to Sundance, but
she felt ill and was taken to Cedars-Sinai. She underwent an operation for the
removal of her appendix, which has been successful." The 30-year-old star is now
recovering from her ordeal with the help of fiance Len Wiseman and daughter Lily.
