Unfortunately, TcpTunnelGui does not work in the scenario you have. If your Web server is configured with virtual hosts (or even if it is a server that checks), you get the exact problem you have seen. There was an imperfect patch submitted to address this; it would probably work most of the time, but it made some assumptions that just aren't safe in the general case. If I find the patch, I'll post it in case you want to compile your own TcpTunnelGui with the patch.
