While flying at Torrey Pines last Saturday, I had a midair with a paraglider. The pilot of the paraglider and his ship were ok, no line damage. Luckily we were both traveling slow. I was heading south, he was heading north. I flew to the slope side of him, plenty of blue sky, then I saw a beautiful wing performing stunts in front of me, took my eyes off my glider and next thing I knew, it was sliding down the lines of the paraglider. MY FAULT. I made mention of Brooks Parks during the explanation of the incident, only because it happened to be his home brew wing that I decided to watch instead of paying attention to my own glider. By the way, if you have not seen Brooks new wings, they are something to watch in the air. Very agile. Anyway, for the record, this was entirely my fault and Brooks nor the paraglider pilot should take any of the blame here. I also want to continue to scold any of you who were there and were worried about my plane instead of the paraglider who was hanging there way above the beach minding his own business when I came along and .....Nuff said.
