I don't miss the St. Louis wether. Too cold and snow in the winter and too hot in the summer. I do miss the Gateway Open but won't be able to make it any more. I can still fly my models but She who must be obeyed wont let me drive that far alone since my stroke in 1999 and her back problem makes driving over 4 hours too painful. I try to go to contest that take no longer than 4 hours driving although we did make the Nats last year by taking two days for the 7 hour drive to Muncie. If only the Gateway Open was at O'Fallon, IL instead of O'Fallon, MO.....
