I believe the new joiner rods are aluminum, at least that is what I got with
the one I built this year. The one I built last year came with c/f. I have
been meaning to ask if this is what Phil is making standard now in the kit
and has it been tested on a good stiff winch, I am sure it has, but still
wondering
