I use the base loaded antenna from JR. To my knowledge it's the only "type
accepted" antenna for R/C transmitters with the exception of the stock
antenna provided.. (it's likely this "type acception" applies to
recommended JR tx models only)..

2 major drawbacks from most "duckie" antennae:

it's longer (approx. 22" overall, above base diameter is about 3/16")

more expensive than after-market generic duckie antennae..

there are some definite pluses:

this antenna is really the right size..

it's properly flexible, yet not flacid..

unlike the duckies where "none of them have the range" the JR base-loaded
antenna does.. It's been used by several folks flying XC with no problem..

this antenna needs an adapter for most radios (even in the JR line) with
the exception of the pcm-10 radios..

the JR adapter is the cleanest, (lowest labor-fuss) system available..

this antenna will also fit a stylus antenna lug..
(don't try this at home but I heard it works)

just my slant on things,

take care,

Stumper
