Gentleman,

Despite recent events, I am pleased to announce that USA F3F Team Viking
Race Qualifier scheduled for Los Banos, CA on September 20-23 is still on.

We are looking forward to the dozen or so international travelers
participating in this event, who vocally continue to insist on coming. Your
positive response in the face of today's events is encouraging and we hope
that successful airline scheduling can be arranged. Your combined presence
will be much enjoyed by all.

As of today, there are still 10 pilot positions open. If you are going to
be in the area before the Visalia event, we actively encourage you to
participate in our event. F3F is just like golf: It's really easy to do,
but very hard to do well :-)

To see an example of how F3F is flown and what is involved, please take the
time to download this excellent 3.5MB video taken by the French F3F
participants (courtesy of Pierre Rondel and rcsoaringmag.com):

We have been blessed by many generous sponsors and have put together an
impressive raffle with thousands of dollars of aircraft and radio gear.
Since our pilot entry is limited to 50, your odds of winning a great prize
are much better than at Visalia :-)

The American Slope Racing Organization would like to publicly thank our
sponsors, without whom, this would just be another World Cup qualifier :-)

in the world in the first event of it's kind here in the United States.

Sincerely,
