Subject: Picolario set-up for 7th channel on Stylus radio

Help! Well I have spent all New Years morning trying to figure out how
to use channel 7 on my JR, 7 channel Rx. to operate my new Picolario Talk
variometer. I would like to assign switches 8,9,and 10 to operate as
off, on, and poll for voltage and altitude correspondingly. Of course, I
have the glide card installed and have been searching both the basic and
the inhansed operator manuals to guide me through this simple operation.
It appears to me that channel 7 is for spoilers and has been assigned to
the flap stick. It functions as though it is Y harnessed to the flap
function and I cannot split it off to an independent switch. I never
could do the rubix cube either. I have an 8 channel Airtronics Rx.
availableand I could use the 8th channel for landing gear , but will have
to solder a complete set of Airtronics connector plugs to everything in
order to use it. My 8 hr. slope task was easier than reading all 4
manuals for this project! One for the Picolario, one for the Picolario
Rx. and two for the Stylus. No, I am not hung over from last night!
Are there any wise guys out there that can do this task??
Mike Remus
