This is a most unique rc sailplane event for wood constructed sailplanes. Reminiscent of the by gone SOAR NATS in Chicago, including the awards Diner Saturday evening. This event offers a choice of fun flying and or competition events for rc pilots that enjoy building and flying wood constructed sailplanes, with or with out a fiberglass fuse. Skegs are not restricted. The event can be flown purely as a fun fly or new and interesting low key competition events are available at the flyers choice. Included is a scale event with Gordon Pearson's great new scale rules, RES for two size classes, 100" or less wing span and unlimited ws. Special One of a Kind competition for Windfrees, Olympic ll, Lil Bird 2 and Otto Heithecker's Challengers. Speed 400 duration and Old Timer speed 400. Man on Man 1.5m group launching by Mini Hi Starts and "The Longest Flight". All this is made possible by restricting the number of entries to one entry per frequency, this means you may fly at will. New this year is Team Entry, two or more flyers can register on one frequency, the results are we have 66 persons registered to fly from as far away as Arizona to Florida to Massachusetts to New York to Minnesota and at the time of this writing there are some frequencies available for a single day, a couple for two days and a couple for all three days.
