I got mine set up, but the 1/4 HP motor (not 1/3 as advertized) is wimpy compared to the 1/5 HP motor on my 20 year old Craftsman, but for balsa and ply, it's fine. It wants to hum and not turn if the blade tension is too high. The aluminum table is as large and as steady as that on the old Craftsman. I easily got it level, but miss the grooves. As mentioned in an earlier post, I'll cut a piece of 1/8" or 1/4" ply to fit the table and glue 1/8" sq. strips of spruce to it to make grooves.
The blade guides, etc. are easy to get to if you lay the unit on its back. The Allen wrench provided fits all. It has a hole for a Shop-Vac which is nice. It's reasonably quiet and low vibration. Really. . .for $60 bucks, its a good deal. Sears will give rain checks. Harley Michaelis, 26 S. Roosevelt, Walla Walla, WA 99362, ph.
