There is a section of cool things to get for Christmas and the items chosen have me ordering!
Dave Garwood, one of our hobby's best columnists (maybe the best in our history) reviewed the Bat and while its only a few paragraphs, I'm hooked (ugh! and its a foamie). The Mantis history goes into great detail including about the new Drela Agea wing...its strengths and idiocycracies.... I know a Nats DHLG guy who has one on order for this season's TD work!
John Derstines new Euro Trash bagged wing is looking very interesting on the cover. I can't wait to hear how it works in thermals (Taborca). And its BIG! WITH FLAPS too. It is a F3J ship that works on the slope...or electric. There may be one of these in my future :-)
Bill and Bunny's On the Wing reviews it and a lot of background about it. The designer has been at F3J competition Tailless planes for a long time so a lot of though has gone into the Taborca, BEFORE offering it as a serious sailplane.
Sorry nothing from me in this issue, Dr Drela burned up all the free space with a great article on Foam for our models. :-)
