I have used many, many inverters from the early tripp-lite buzz boxes to the latest sine wave equipment. They cause radio interference. The inexpensive ones are the worst. The interference does not seem to follow much of a pattern and effects all bands to some degree. Why not just rewind the soldering iron for 12 volts? Saves the money for the inverter, inefficiency at the battery and the shame of shooting someone down.
