Heli-Coil it. I had a similar problem with a moldie a few years back and this worked perfectly. Make sure to work slowly and carefully and use cutting oil to minimize the possibility of breaking the blind nut loose.

Help, the forward blind nut on my Eraser is stripped. Don't know how that happened, I have been very careful when tightening the screws on the wing. My Shop Theory book tells me that an 8-36 SAE machine screw has a major diameter .010" larger than the diameter of the Metric screws that came with my Eraser. Has anybody had a similar problem and found an easy solution? I am thinking of tapping the blind nut to accept an 8-36 cap screw since the 4.0 metric cap screw does not engage correctly.
