Thirty two years ago, when I was twelve, my older brother brought an
issue of RCM into my parent's home. I have no idea who gave it to him or
why he brought it home, because he never even read it. I, however, read
and re-read that issue until I wore it out. It was another six years
before I could afford to get started in R/C, but in the meantime, I
haunted the newsstands every month, eagerly waiting for the next issue
of RCM to arrive.

After all these years, model airplanes are still the joy of my life.

These days, I get most of my model airplane related news and information
from the internet, and I only buy model aviation magazines on occasion.
Still, for me, it is a sad thing to realize that RCM will be no more. My
RCM magazines were the treasures of my youth, and the source of many of
my hopes and dreams.
