What's wrong with a simple Sheeva Plug or Guru Plug? You just stick it in
the power socket and it's an ARM-based server that needs little to no
maintanance.
Nothing whatsoever. In fact, that sounds like a really good idea. It could serve not only as a social networking server, but also as a home media/backup server.
