Perhaps you should try reading my email next time. :-) I talked about having a series of distros branched off from Debian. For example, Ubuntu has the latest release of everything.

Whatever the other kind is called that uses the rpm, you know, the ones that are up-to-date - that's the kind I like.

And now you're just showing your ignorance. :-)

It's really silly to think that whether packages are recent or old has something to do with the package manager. Ubuntu, Linspire, Libranet and others are Debian distros with updated packages. Ubuntu is *very* up to date btw.
