Modern CRTs are designed to not burn in. I don't know how old that monitor is... but mine certainly doesn't burn in. It's about three years old.

If you can read this, you don't need glasses.

the only problem with SETI and other 'screensavers' is that they burn your monitor. in 9 months, i had that SETI box burned into my monitor. flatpanels
are OK, but if you still have a CRT, dont use SETI!

Use your idle CPU time time save the rainforest!

Well... almost ;-) ClimatePrediction.Net is a project of the same family ast [EMAIL PROTECTED] You download a program from their website and it uses your
idle CPU cycles to run a climate model for the next 45 years.

http://climateprediction.net/

You get a nice image of a rotating Earth showing your model. They run many models and the results help them learn how climate will evolve in the near
future.

There is a credit system based on how much work your computer has done.
I'm not sure what a credit means. I also notice that you can form a 'team',
but again, I don't know what that means.

Cheers,
Daniel.
