we saved them to the odf format exclusively.
i have another wrinkle to add--we do information mapping--LOTS of tables.

I just had a thought... Kip, where you saving your files in OOo's native
format or as .doc files? If you were using .doc then that would put OOo
on a severe disadvantage.
