That was a very good review of the history of Social Credit's 'political party' efforts in Canada.  The above sentence caught my eye particularly, and I wonder if you could elaborate on it.  It was always my understanding that Premier Aberhart passed away while on vacation in Vancouver, BC.  What was the cause of his death?  Also, in "The Alberta Experiment" there is a short passage about how Imperial Oil Ltd. (a subsidiary of  Standard Oil of New Jersey, now EXXON), was awarded a monopoly over oil and gasoline distribution in Newfoundland, after that then independent Dominion reverted to control by the 'financial' Commission with which Magor was involved.   Douglas made mention of something similar (only in regards to 'exploration', I believe) being agreed to by Alberta.  Was this something done before any further credit would be extended to Aberhart in the earliest part of his administration?
