Hello Fu,

have tried git URL and to me it was not the same as the ftp URL (archive
on ftp looks better than git stuff, so I have took it as a reference).

At the first sight I like the API you provide with current libsocketcan.
Unfortunately, I have no time to play with it seriously now, but I would
like to use it with our stack in the future.

>From my perspective, as a maintainer of SW which uses SocketCAN, the
best thing can happen to your library is to develop to a kind of
official SocketCAN user space API. Then I will be able to say to our
customers: "folks, just make sure you have a SocketCAN revision XXXX (or
maybe it is already a part of the kernel!) and corresponding
libsocketcan from well known URL, and you can immediately compile and
start using our SW with SocketCAN". That is what I am dreaming of.

Regards,
Vladislav

The function is now splitte up in a simple set_bitrate and a expert
set_bitrate_samplepoint as you suggested. I Also changed name prefix to
can_ in API and renamed the library to libsocketcan. Hence the lib is
now available at:
git://git.pengutronix.de/git/tools/libsocketcan.git
The old URL still exists as a link for convenience though.

I pinned the lib version to 0.0.4 and the updated canutils to 4.0.2.
There're tarballs for ready to use source on our ftp server.

have a nice weekend

cheers
Fu
