Hi,
I've got a 4801-60 (comBIOS ver. 1.30 20070326) running
a SanDisk SDCFX-8192 (LBA Xlt 996-255-63 8003 Mbyte) with
FreeBSD 5.5-STABLE.
When I received the unit, it ran fine for many many months.
Then out of the blue it started to lock up for no reason every couple
of weeks. Now it can't go more than 12 hours.
The config has :
machine i386
cpu I586_CPU
ident NET4801
options CPU_GEODE
options CPU_SOEKRIS
options KDB
options KDB_TRACE
options KDB_UNATTENDED
options DDB
options ALT_BREAK_TO_DEBUGGER
(and alot of other stuff)
When it locks up, the front panel seems to be operating
as if nothing is wrong. Power light on, NET light blinking. But its
dead from the console, I can't even force it down to debugger.
If this sounds familiar, it is. Same thing happened to me
a while back. I returned the unit to Soekris and they sent a new
one out. This unit started out fine, then started locking up
every few weeks, now it won't go a day without locking up.
Any ideas where to turn?
