 From experience just doing a standard install is my best suggestion. I've
never had an issue with that (and I'm on my second OpenBSD Soekris fw). I
tried some stripped down versions in the beginning but it was always more
work that it was worth. Upgrades become tricky and you could run into
strange corner cases. Also non-standard installs aren't supported by the
OpenBSD team.
