Mike replied several time within last month. It's possible that he is
just out of office for couple of days. Let's wait for a week or two and
we will see...

Hello,
As far as I remember, this project (almost) stopped evolving
couple of years ago when Pekka Pessi left Nokia.
Some time ago there was a similar discussion where several
alternative branches of Sofia were mentioned but it was not clear
whether it is worth moving to any of them. That discussion
unfortunately did not come to any conclusion. See here:
https://www.mail-archive.com/sofia-sip-devel@lists.sourceforge.net/msg04533.html
As Andreas Wehrmann already mentioned, it would be great if
someone from FreeSwitch (probably Michael Jerris) could join this
discussion.
Mike, could you share with us some details about status of Sofia
branch used in FreeSwitch? It seems to me that it is the best
maintained version of Sofia. I was already thinking about moving
from the "official" Sofia branch to the one used in FreeSwitch. Do
you think it is a good idea? Is your branch backwards compatible
or do you see any problems in it?

Very interesting read. Thread started May 2010 and ended Nov 2013,
just a few mos ago. Learned about the different versions as well ;-)
Doesn't look like Mike is following this discussion. Can smn add him
to it? It took only 3 yrs in the previous thread to join in, and i
don't think we
have that long this time :-(
BTW, if given web access, I will be happy to update the examples in
the refdocs. At least you won'tl be bothered by newcomers like myself ;-)
I can check with sourceforge about it...

Ther is no administrator for this project. This is very
unfortunate, and a lot of patches are going to oblivion :-(
Does anyone have sourceforge and/or svn access to the project
trunk, or knows how to get one?
Maybe asking sourceforge would be a good idea...
Anyone interested for a list moderator ;-)
What do you think?
