I see now how all of this works. I am using the CIAO Radio Hardware and I see how the AGC is acting. Also I see that AM Synchronous is easy to figure into this and it seems to work real well.
I am able to use the DRM software with the CIAO Radio and was getting a test transmission form Vatican Radio in Vatican City with text. DRM is very interesting. The H101 hardware also outputs a pure sine wave version of the DDS and has a transmitter like software you dial any frequency you want. It also has an Audio Input Reference and I have not tried this but if it can modulate the DDS output that can lead to some interesting things. I will look that up on the Web. Anyways, it can serve as a signal generator and as a LO IN for my QSD experiments and also as a VFO for a transmitter. I am now experiencing the excellent ideas of SDR!
