When I 'deselect all using filter', it often doesn't deselect all using filter. It does nothing.
When I switch between translate, rotate, scale, and other tools, I experience the same problem as Todd reports. Others here at Carbine have had the same issues in sporadic fashion, and when they do, the other cited problems with the timeline appear too. As far as 'observed behavior' is concerned, they are related.
