My Softimage license turned into a MayaS license, where MayaS
obviously stands for Maya plus Softimage.
In the subscription center a separate download for Softimage 2015 is
available,
but the license issue by registeronce appears to be of the MayaS variety.

Addendum: the Softimage 2015 in the subscription center does have its
own serial/key, so it should be possible to register it separately.
