Memory, you can look at all the output, or just grep for "memory size:" /usr/platform/`uname -i`/sbin/prtdiag
Disk size, you might want to grep -i size, iostat -E --- - Shawn L. Hi people, I need to know the amount of RAM a machine has, and the amount of disk available. Not the partitioned space, but all the space (the hysical capacity of the disks). Machine is a solaris8 sparc. For the ram, I tried "dmesg", but it gave a lot of syslog messages. Then, I tried "top" and it says "Real memory". I tried "free" (as in a linux box), but this doesn't exist. For the disk space, I tried fdisk -g /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s2, but it only says cyl/head/sect. bash-2.05# fdisk -g /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s2 * Label geometry for device /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s2 * PCYL NCYL ACYL BCYL NHEAD NSECT SECSIZ 38790 38790 2 0 16 63 512 bash-2.05# Thanks a lot, Leo _______________________________________________ Solaris-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/solaris-users _______________________________________________ Solaris-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/solaris-users
