I am quite new to Solaris (8). I would like to know if there is a command in Solaris like "free" in Linux, a command that shows the "real" memory and swap memory usage.
I see that vmstat is available, but I am not sure on how to read the output, I mean, in some Web I read that shows statistics about memory since the last boot. I also read that "vmstat n" shows info in n seconds intervals.
Actually I just need some "accurate" free mem info to setup a Nagios alert in case of low memory status. What command shoud I use?
Thanks a lot...
