i think there are no such numbers announced publicly (MTBF for the whole
machine) - what i have seen are some MTBF numbers for different components.
there should be a formula that makes it possible to calculate the MTBF
of the whole system considering the MTBF of the parts and the
architecture ( how components a connected: serial or parallel, chassis
based or not, redundancy of components, etc.) however i could not find a
document that describes how exactly to do this calculation.
