if you have root access change /etc/passwd file to change your login shell
I do - and that would be my next step. However, as a principle I don't like to mess around with files like that (I've been brought up with Mac OS since 1986....). I'd prefer that the passwd-thing worked....

Apply latest patch cluster to your Solaris version, if everything else fails, upgrade your Solaris OS. I'm running beta Solaris 10, and it rocks!
