Since I have a limited number of Sun servers, and they're all in close
proximity to my Windows servers, I just attached the console port to serial
ports on Win2K servers. When I need console access (vs. SSH or WebMin), I use
Remote Desktop (Terminal Services) to connect to the Win2K server, then use
HyperTerminal to admin the Sun box.
I'm sure this method would also work from Sun/Linux systems, you could SSH to
one box, then use it to connect to the console of another, provided they're not
both down at the same time...
Even though I do have the RSC's, and I've configured them for remote telemetry,
I did not redirect the console to them...
