Comment #5 on issue 44 by [email protected]: pitch recognition http://code.google.com/p/solfege/issues/detail?id=44
Well, it's not so easy :) I've found 2 solutions: 1..... pyaudio + numpy with a rough algorithm It's based on fft and taken from stack overflow, the recognition is not very good. I've written also a little widget that is a tuner. https://gist.github.com/841028 2..... http://code.google.com/p/pygalaxy/wiki/SoundAnalyse (easy_installable) The code is ready and seems that the pitch recognition is much more accurate and fast (there is also loudness recognition) I can proceed in two ways: 1) attempt to improve the accuracy of the first method 2) complete the input widget to be integrated with singing exercises What do you think? I've seen another issue about the pitch recognition, is there anything done? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Free Software Download: Index, Search & Analyze Logs and other IT data in Real-Time with Splunk.
