Hello solfege-devel,
do you have an opinion what should be the default sound configuration on linux?

I see now that the default config for new users is to use the OSS
sound system and /dev/sequencer2 as the default way to play midi. I
have not had OSS running on my laptop for years.

Maybe we should set timidity as the default midi player, and then the
user will get the dialog saying timidity is missing and with a
suggestion to open the preferences window? What do you think?
