Hi,
I am new to the list and to Solr, so I appologize in advance if I say something
silly.
I have been playing with the field collapse patch and I have a couple of
questions and I have noticed a couple of issues. What is the intended use /
audience for the field collapsing patch. One of the issues I see is that the
sort order is changed during normal field collapsing and this causes problems
if I want the results ordered based on relevancy. Another issue, is that the
backfilling of the results, if there is not enough, is done from the deduped
results rather than getting more results from the index. Is this by design?
