Thanks a bunch for all the great responses! I think first thing tomorrow I will grab a fresh version from trunk then walk through the tutorial. I have not done that in quite some time...
I will also investigate the version in Git to see which one is easier to work with. I like the idea of building a JTS with a loose license which is what the advantage of the Apache license is, right?
