Ahhhh.. good to know ... but at least it allowed me to install my W7,
so I am fine with it ;-)

Really? Why did installation of W7 then succeed, while it didn't before?
YOu have written something in your blog about a different firmware 
being necessary for W7, but that is probably for a different model.

And strange enough, it didn't even complain about needing GPT instead
of MBR, so I am really suprised that you say it is absolutely the same!
