Excuse me, I have only told you what i know from Sony: http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/info/info.aspx?l=de_DE&url=VAIO/Updates/EP0000208175.exe&m=VGN-Z21MN_B&ip=EP0000208175.htm and I have used it a while, I did not see any difference else then the free VT and the closed efi-hole. Else I did not notice any different behaviour. > YOu have written something in your blog about a different firmware > being necessary for W7, but that is probably for a different model. That wisdom was not from me, it was told here in the mailing list. I myself have no experiences with Windows 7 on Vaio-Z. > > And strange enough, it didn't even complain about needing GPT instead > of MBR, so I am really suprised that you say it is absolutely the same! Simply try R2168M3 again and look if you can switch it the way you need it whith unlocked advanced settings. direct downloadlink on the sony ftp-server: ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/pub/VAIO/Updates/EP0000180599.EXE Should be possible!
